Short Courses

Filmbites Community Short Courses offer a wide range of creative programs designed to inspire and engage youth. Our courses include Screen Acting, Filmmaking, Game Design, Makeup SFX, Animation, and more. In 2024, some of our partnerships included; ‘Acting Up’ Busselton Drama School, as well as the City of Stirling and City of Gosnells, to bring the arts to diverse communities across Western Australia.

We travel extensively throughout the state to deliver our courses, reaching regions that might not typically have access to our standard term programs. While not all courses are available in every regional area, we strive to bring creative opportunities to those who may be exploring the arts for the first time or who face challenges in accessing arts education.

At Filmbites, we place great value on the partnerships we create, whether it’s with schools, local councils, Community Resource Centres, or businesses. We understand that every community has unique needs, and we are always flexible and open to tailoring our programs to best serve those needs. Additionally, we are committed to supporting our partners throughout the process—from sourcing funding and promoting courses, to helping with logistics and any other requirements needed to successfully run our short courses.

Our goal is to make arts education accessible, inclusive, and inspiring for all, ensuring that every participant, no matter their background or location, has the chance to explore their creativity and develop their skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
